Where did the name Enfield Arts come from?
Enfield Arts comes from Enfield, Massachusetts, one of the four “Lost Towns” that were disincorporated and flooded to create the Quabbin Reservoir in Central Massachusetts. I’m extremely interested in local history, and the Quabbin in particular, as anyone who has read New Winslow can tell you. So when it came time to pick a name for my creative company, I liked the idea of going with one of those towns. And Enfield sounded the best to me.
Why is the pricing the way that it is?
Yeah, my pricing strategy is kind of weird and it comes from the desire to both get my stories out to anybody who wants to read them and to make enough money to cover my business expenses and maybe cover some groceries every month. So all the main series stories (which are currently New Winslow, North County Paranormal Unit, and Magic City) start out at full price, then go for free six months after publication. And I’ve recently started serializing new releases on this website at the three month mark.
Any bonus side stories or standalone books don’t become permanently free at any point, but sometimes you can get them during a temporarily free promotion, on sale, or in exchange for joining my newsletter.
Where can I find your books?
All over the place, depending how you like to read!
Paperback: Bookshop.org, Amazon, varied other places depending on my distributor.
eBook: I’m available wide, including Kobo, Amazon, Smashwords, Barnes & Noble, and others. Paid Patreon patrons also get an ePub and/or PDF version of every ebook as part of their membership.
Online: Everything older than six months is available to read for free on my website, while New Winslow is available on both Enfield Arts and Patreon. Visit each book’s page to find the reading links.
Audiobook: The only book available in audio right now is North County Paranormal Unit (NCPU#1). While it might still be floating around some ebook retailers, it will be coming out as a free podcast through ThirdSight Media, LLC in early 2026.
Do you sell anything on your website?
Not yet! But I’m working on setting up direct sales and merch links, so look for those in 2026 as well!
How do you feel about fan works?
I love them. I wrote a ton of fan fiction in high school and college, some of which is still floating around online and I will not be claiming publicly on here. All my books are distributed under an Attribution Non-Commercial ShareAlike 4.0 International License, which essentially means that you can create whatever fanworks you want with them as long as you A) credit the original source and B) don’t make money off them.
Also, I ask that you don’t send me any of your fan works or tell me about them. I love and fully support you making them, but since most of my series are ongoing I don’t want to end up in a situation where someone feels their work might have found its way into anything I write. So I do not read fan fiction and unfortunately, if you send me any, I won’t open it.
Can you send me a free copy of the new book?
If you want a copy in exchange for a review, send me an email at amanda@enfieldarts.com. All I ask is that you then send a link or screenshot of the review once it’s posted.
Do you have any more podcasts planned?
The audiobook for North County Paranormal Unit will be out in podcast form in 2026. Beyond that, I work over at ThirdSight Media LLC and occasionally write or perform in theirs. But I don’t have any new podcasts planned.
Can we work together?
If you have a project you’d be interested in hiring me for, email me project and budget details at amanda@enfieldarts.com and we can talk!
(More detailed info is available over on my Work With Me page)
Do you do any in-person events?
Rarely. I have physical disabilities and responsibilities that make it very difficult to travel to in-person events. However, anything I will be at, I will talk about in my newsletter and Patreon in advance.
Do you have a Patreon?
I do have a Patreon! And it’s where I post most of my fun and social things because I’m bad at social media. Free members get access to a lot of updates and posts, while paid members get exclusive microfiction and ebooks at every level, then other rewards at different tiers.
Do you have a Discord?
No, I do not. I’ve been an online moderator before and never again. Also, I think I’m too old to figure out Discord beyond the basics. I’ll leave creating Discords to the experts.
